Housing EU-labour migrants

14 Mar Housing EU-labour migrants

Presently some 400.000 labour migrants from Eastern, Central and Southern Europe reside in the Netherlands. Often these people live in poor housing conditions. The programm “Flexible Housing For Labour Migrants” from the Dutch Government aims to improve the temporary housing conditions of EU labour migrants. The “Expert Centre Flexible Housing for Labour Migrants” is a part of this programm. This expert centre supports local governments, municipalities, housing corporations and employers to enlarge the pool of flexible accommodations. Also the Element, designed by 12Camp BV, is mentioned on their website as a possible solution. Of course our accommodation, the Element,  could also be considered as a solution for temporary accommodation by organistions and institutions in the United Kingdom. http://www.unitbank.eu
